Unfortunately, Netflix doesn't go far enough here.
You will need to use scaling and some games don't work well with that. Changing resolutions between 2K and 4K messes up your desktop and window locations. Games are blurry compared to 4K, but if the game has resolution scaling you can get a mostly not-blurry image that runs at a decent speed.
JzRzH. • 9 mo. ago. Yes this should be possible, I have a Q70R that I run 4k 120. I had to make sure input signal plus was active and it only works on input 1. I also had to use custom resolution utility (CRU) to set a custom 4k 120. I also have freesync working over HDMI with a 4070ti.
Yes it can. You can even add another 4K monitor if you'd like since the 3080 has 4 display ports. 4 4K monitors is also an option if you'd like to remove your 2K monitor (Not recommended, will probably overheat your GPU faster) I stream and game in high quality presets on a 34" UW 3440x1440, secondary is a 32" 2k.
2,560x1,440=3,686,400 that is still less than half of 4K UHD: 3,840x2,160=8,294,400. So dividing that power over 2560x1440 resolution: 8,294,400/3,686,400=2.25. This means that it will be able to produce enough power to power just 2.25 monitors of this resolution and only 68 frames per second , not 144!

1440p is where its at for sure. We don't have the GPU horsepower to drive high fps at 4k yet in my opinion. 1440p however is a different story, you get the benefit of much more clarity over 1080 while still being able to run really good frame rates. 1.1K. BigBeardRodriguez.
The second monitor only needs to run DP 1.2 or DP 1.4 to connect back to the first display. you can theoretically connect straight to a couple of 4K monitors with nothing more than Thunderbolt
Nowadays, most monitors, TVs and graphics cards feature at least an HDMI 1.4 port, which is enough for 144Hz at 1080p, 75Hz at 1440p and 30Hz at 4K.. However, keep in mind that some monitors have limited bandwidth over HDMI 1.4, making it max out at 120Hz or even at 60Hz in some cases (mostly G-SYNC and older monitors). wjGF3.
