My problem with linearity especially with god of war ragnarok is when its immersion breaking. That game has a ton of invisible walls and its very noticeable in the jungle levels where some flowers block your way. In the alfheim temple for example huge physical walls acts as those barriers which doesn’t break immersion.
It would run like it runs on the PS4 pro, with maybe a little better loading times. If you get the actual ps5 version (which should only cost you $10 after you install your ps4 disc, but look this up, I know thats how it works for the digital version, not sure about physical), youll get some graphical improvements here and there and faster
There is a huge difference, it's a 33% improvement in literal frames but that doesn't quite represent the actual benefit. In terms of frame time, it's halfway between 30 and 60 FPS. To say that half of the improvement from 30 to 60 isn't much difference is really, really, dumb.

I think the 30fps for base PS4 still runs surprisingly well on this aging console now. Never once was I thinking that this game runs like shit and I can't even play it. That being said, I did experience some choppiness here and there with some occasional pauses in between levels for loading.
It will run well. I also have a base ps4, and as most ps4 owners who'll be playing ragnarok we all are worried of our console. GoW Ragnarok will feel like GoW 2018 as it was originally a ps4 game. Play Ghost of Tsushima. I only have 1 Plat, and that's the one because it's very easy to get by just playing the game through to the end one time. Not a lot of collectible trophies or "kill 50 opponents by drop kicking them off a mountain" type BS.
